OUR MISSION
MEMBERSHIP AND EDUCATION
Credentialed Veterinary Technicians are essential for the veterinary profession, especially in Wyoming, where access to veterinary care is often difficult to come by. We offer support and education opportunities to all veterinary professionals across the state.
New members either from another state or new graduates from an AVMA-Accredited veterinary technician program and have passed the VTNE are awarded a certification through the WyVTA to become Wyoming CVT's (Certified Veterinary Technicians). Existing members must meet continuing education requirements and renew their membership with the Wyoming Veterinary Technician Association every 2 years.
We organize a Continuing Education Conference each Fall at the Ramkota in Capser, WY, providing an in-person CE experience for veterinary professionals, including veterinarians, technicians, veterinary assistants, and customer service representatives.
We also offer scholarship opportunities for students of an AVMA-Accredited veterinary technician program and support for students.
